Scanners

Scanners are notoriously hard to come by at Columbia, however there are a few as listed below. You may also be interested in photocopiers or book scanners.

Locations

The following locations offer scanner access to students:

• Lehman Library first-floor computer lab

• One scanner for a Mac and one for a PC
• Not free, but they work well

• Digital Humanities Center (formerly known as the Electronic Text Service), located at 305 Butler

• Many different types of scanners, both for pages and of the larger, book size
• All free to use
• Can receive output as a file (on USB drive) or by email
• Room closes at 6pm daily

• Lehman Library

• Scanners at several of its computer stations
• All free to use

• Avery Library

• Difficult to get a scanner

• Science and Engineering Library in the Northwest Corner Building

• Difficult to get a scanner
