Silver Moon Bakery is a bakery on Broadway at 105th St. Its phone number is 212-866-4717, and you can send them a fax on 212-866-4756 (yay!).
This place is just heavenly. It has the best bread in the neighborhood, though there isn't much competition. Get there early... and fight the crowds of Upper West Side nannies for the tiny, pricey, perfect pastries.
Pretty much everything there is fantastic but there are some standouts:
- Brioche (particularly the Chocolate, but they also do a 'brioche de jour' which is always good
- Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Croissant (regular, chocolate, almond)
- Apricot-Hazelnut Parisienne (French bread)
