'''Nobility and Civility''' is the common title for a series of interdisciplinary general education colloquia that take place among senior Columbia faculty members and students. The format of the colloquia is a discussion; its purpose is to investigate the meaning of the eponymous terms "nobility" and "civility" as they relate to a number of literary and philosophical works from European and Asian civilizations alike.
