After suffering from its reputation as the murder capital of America during the run of the TV drama ''Homicide: Life on the Street'', the city's reputation improved after some pioneering househunters realized it would make a nice suburb of [[Washington, DC]], then collapsed again after the premiere of ''The Wire''.
