The '''Charles Paterno Barratt-Brown Memorial Prize''' is awarded to a Columbia College senior who is judged to have excelled in critical writing in any scholarly field. The award was established in [[2000]] by the parents and sister of [[Charles Paterno Barratt-Brown]], who graduated from the College in [[1983]]. Senior essays will automatically be considered for this prize.
