'''Arthur Hays Sulzberger''' [[Columbia College|CC]] [[1913]] was publisher of the ''[[New York Times]]'' from [[1935]] to [[1961]].

He founded the university's Jewish Advisory Board in [[1929]] and served on the board of what became [[Columbia-Barnard Hillel]] for many years. From [[1944]] to [[1959]] he served as a university [[trustee]], much to the ire of then-[[University President]] [[Nicholas Murray Butler]], who was not a fan of Jews.

His son, [[Arthur Ochs Sulzberger]], graduated from Columbia also, so was a [[legacy student]]. Then he wound up being publisher of the NYT as well...
