The '''Department of Public Safety''' is the university's mini police force. Public Safety officers guard the entrances to dorms and some other important university buildings, like [[Butler Library]]. In addition, they patrol the neighborhood in patrol cars, on foot, from various prison-watchtower-like outposts, and on bicycles. They also monitor campus and its surrounds via video surveillance from their headquarters in [[Low Library]].
