The Plaza. Saks. Bergdorf's. [[Rockefeller Center]]. [[St. Patrick's Cathedral]]. The host of many parades, the pilgrimage site of many a tourist, '''Fifth Avenue''' in [[Midtown]] is avoided by many a Columbia student, at least after experiencing his or her first Christmas shopping season being shoved off the sidewalk by the insane crowds. 

There are reasons, nonetheless, to visit the area. If you have a Mac, your best bet for accessories and services is the new [[Apple Store]] located under the glass cube at Fifth and 59th. Also, the [[Museum of Modern Art]] is just off Fifth, and is free with a valid [[CUID]].
