'''Ira Katznelson''' [[Columbia College|CC]] '[[1966|66]] is the Ruggles Professor of Political Science and History, officially affiliated with the [[Political Science Department]]. 

After graduating from Columbia, he was a [[Kellett Fellow]] at the [[University of Cambridge]], where he completed his [[PhD]]. He then immediately returned to Columbia to teach, from [[1969]] to [[1974]], departed for the [[University of Chicago]] and the [[New School]], where he was dean, and returned to Columbia in [[1994]], where he has been ever since.

In addition to other honors, Katznelson has also been a [[Guggenheim Fellow]].
