'''Elizabeth Margaret Strauss''' [[SEAS]] '[[2008|08]] [[MA]] ([[TC]]) '[[2011|11]] [[M.Ed]] ([[TC]]) '[[2013|13]] was the president of the [[ESC]] for the [[2007]]-[[2008]] academic year.  She majored in [[Chemical Engineering Department|Chemical Engineering]].  After graduation, she went on to receive her [[MA]] and [[M.Ed.]] from [[Teachers College]].

During her time as ESC President, Strauss focused on opening the sixth floor of [[Lerner Hall]].  In [[2008]] it was decided that the sixth floor (which had been vacant prior that) would be built out as administrative offices for [[Student Affairs]] and [[Financial Aid]], thus vacating office space in places such as [[Carman Hall|Carman]] and [[Broadway Residence Hall|Broadway]].

Strauss is now the Associate Director of Curricular Planning & Analysis for [[Columbia College]].
