The Weathermen was a crazy left-wing terrorist group that emerged from the 1968 protests. The name was based on a phrase that went something like "we know what way the weather's blowing". In 1970, they attempted to blow up Alma Mater, but wound up blowing up themselves (and their Greenwich Village townhouse) instead.
Members included Mark Rudd and Ted Gold. The latter died in the townhouse blast.
