Matthew C. Fox, CC '89, was Columbia College's 2007 Class Day speaker. He is an actor on ABC's TV show Lost.

Fox's selection as speaker angered many in the Class of 2007, some of whom called for him to be replaced. However, these students merely ended up creating several anti-Fox and ironic pro-Fox Facebook groups. Despite the general disappointment in Fox's selection as speaker, many students who heard the speech said he was great, if not even better than McCain.
