Stuyvesant Fish was a member of the Columbia College Class of 1871. The son of Hamilton Fish, another Columbia alumnus and President Grant's Secretary of State, Stuyvesant played on the Columbia football team in its inaugural season of 1870. He would later go on to become president of the Illinois Central Railroad and one of the most powerful "rail barons" of the early 20th Century.
