Nexus

The Nexus, will be Barnard's future student center. On Barnard Spirit Day, 2008, Bwog claimed that the building would be renamed the Vagelos Center after donor Diana Vagelos BC'55. Students lept at the opportunity to rechristen it with the unfortunate moniker of the Vag.[1][2] Despite these claims, Barnard has not officially renamed the building.

Construction began in June of 2007 with the demolition of McIntosh. The new building is slated to open in 2009. The naming rights cost $20 million.[3]
