Bethany Lynn Carkhuff, CC '08 (?), is a campus character and socialite.
She came into the public spotlight by turning down a role on the fourth season of the reality show, The Simple Life. She has also appeared on television awards shows, most notably the MTV Video Music Awards, as well as various other public venues.
For some reason, she was constantly the subject of discussion on the original Bored@Butler website and subsequent anonymous gossip sites such as JuicyCampus. Supposedly, campus safety had to respond to threats made on these websites, and she now lives off campus.
Carkhuff is a Philosophy and Math major. Although she entered the College in 2003 and was a member of the 2003 Student Council that year, she is still currently attending because of a medical leave absence and her exact year of graduation is unknown.
