David Albert is a philosophy professor and Director of M.A. Program in The Philosophical Foundations of Physics. He's known for being absurdly brilliant but also, perhaps as a result of said brilliance, absurdly bad at communicating his ideas to those without such a stratospherical IQ.
His appearance in the "science" film What the Bleep Do We Know!? occasioned some controversy. He says, probably correctly, that the filmmakers edited clips of his interviews to make him appear to be taking the exact opposite position of the one he in fact holds, and he told Popular Science that he is "outraged at the final product."[1]
