Cornell students visit Ithaca's beautiful gorges to engage in their school's most popular pastime: enjoying the exquisite beauty of the Finger Lakes.

Cornell University is New York State's other Ivy League school. Located in magical Ithaca, it's known for being filled with better engineers, and pre-meds than Columbia; as well as having a the top rated veterinary medical college, as well as the number one ranked Architecture school in the country. They also have the best hotel management college in the world. In addition, Cornell delivers more students to top medical graduate programs than any other university.

Cornell students are often noted for their indifference to a being a member of the Ivy League. For example, when alumni from each of the eight Ivy League schools were asked where they attended college, they responded:

Harvard Grad: I attended Harvard University.
Yale Grad: I went to Yale.
Princeton Grad: I went to Princeton.
Columbia Grad: I went to Columbia, I'm Ivy,Ivy,Ivy!
Dartmouth Grad: I went to Dartmouth.
Brown Grad: I went to Brown.
Penn Grad: I went to Penn...the Ivy League, not the state school.
Cornell Grad: I went to Cornell University.

Cornell students also tend to don "Ithaca Is Gorgeous" shirts. These reflect pride in the university's dramatic and phenomenally majestic surroundings.

Many Columbia students realize, after they've been a freshman for a day, that they made a mistake getting caught in the dirt, congestion, and grime of NYC. They yearn for mythical Ithaca, where the hard working, fun loving, and creative students and faculty reside.
