Thomas Sugrue CC '84 is a noted American historian teaching at Penn. He graduated from Columbia summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in history before traveling to the University of Cambridge on a Kellett Fellowship and earning his PhD at Harvard. His work has won the Bancroft Prize.
