Robert M. Fogelson CC '58 is an historian specializing in American Urban History. He has taught at MIT since 1968, having earned his PhD from Harvard four years earlier. At MIT, he has a joint appointment in the Faculty of History and the Department of Urban Studies and Planning. His best known work is Big-City Police (Harvard University Press, 1977).
