James Rubin CC '82 SIPA '84 is currently an adjunct professor at SIPA and an informal adviser to Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
Earlier, he served as assistant Secretary of State for Political Affairs and chief spokesman of the State Department under Clinton. He also worked on the campaigns of Wesley Clark and John Kerry. Since neither were successful, he became a broadcaster, hosting and anchoring news programmes for PBS and Sky News.
