Robert Pollack CC '61 was dean of Columbia College from 1982 to 1989. He oversaw the construction of Schapiro Hall.

While an undergraduate at Columbia, Pollack was a physics major. He joined the faculty as a biology professor in 1978.

He teaches a Frontiers of Science discussion section. His emails sound scary but he'll bring donuts to class in efforts to keep everyone awake and has the girls gushing over how granfatherly he is.
