Julia Kalow CC '08 is the salutatorian of the Class of 2008. She is from Newton, Massachusetts, and double-majored in Chemistry and Creative Writing. She was one of the co-winners of the 2008 Karen Osney Brownstein Prize for her fiction. She has also written for the Blue and White, played flute for the Columbia University Wind Ensemble, and dances.
