The Julliard School is located downtown in the Lincoln Center complex. They used to be part of the fine Morningside acropolis, but moved downtown when Lincoln Center was built. The Institute of Musical Art, run by John Erskine, had a complicated relationship with Julliard and eventually got absorbed. Today, The Manhattan School of Music occupies their old quarters. If you look carefully at the engraved signs on the facade, you can see where the names were swapped (a la Livingston Wallach).
