First-Year Points were basically Dining Dollars for first-years. They were the second part of the first-year meal plan, the other being meals at John Jay Dining Hall. First-year points would roll over from fall to spring semester, but would expire at the end of the spring, unlike Dining Dollars, which will roll over until graduation.

However, unlike Dining Dollars, First Year Points could not be used at Barnard.

In Fall 2008, the first-year points were eliminated and all first-year meal plans included Dining Dollars to keep them more consistent with the upper-class meal plans.
