Whitney Green SEAS '10 was the President of the Engineering Student Council for 2009-10. She was elected in spring 2009 by the ESC. She was an IEOR major originally from New Jersey. Prior to serving as president, Whitney served as secretary of the council, as well as official liaison to GSSC.
During her time as president, Green worked on the academic calendar issue, presenting a joint resolution with CCSC President Sue Yang to the University Senate that proposed starting the fall semester a week earlier in years where Labor Day falls later in the calendar. She also worked to create more efficiency between CCSC and ESC, drawing the two often separate councils closer in terms of policy and programming than they had ever been.
Outside of ESC, Green was known for her beatboxing with campus a capella group Nonsequitur.
She is now works as a Columbia Admissions Officer.
