As of 2013, Isaac has 856 members and attracts several new posts per year. Common sense would dictate that Isaac should merge with the far more active Storybook, but GS Student Life takes pains to prevent all but the most <s>dishonest</s> enthusiastic Orientation Leaders from discussing the GS experience with prospective students.

Isaac is a School of General Studies hosted social network for GS students. It's like Facebook, but boring and with the administration watching. It was created by TargetX using the Ning social networking platform around 2010 or so. Isaac is nearly identical to its sister site Storybook except the contents & membership are permanent.

As of 2013, Isaac has 856 members and attracts several new posts per year. Common sense would dictate that Isaac should merge with the far more active Storybook, but GS Student Life takes pains to prevent all but the most dishonest enthusiastic Orientation Leaders from discussing the GS experience with prospective students.

Isaac is named after Isaac Asimov, an alumnus of Seth Low Junior College and the University Extension (both precursors to General Studies).
