Pete Mangurian is the former football coach. In his second and third seasons, he went winless, leading to calls for his dismissal (which prompted a letter from PrezBo to the Spec defending him).
In December of 2013, he got spooked by activist football fan-alumnus Jake Novak, and sent an email to his players telling them not to talk with media[1].
In December of 2014, he resigned, three months after Athletic Director M. Dianne Murphy resigned.
