Alina Ying SEAS '21 is from San Jose, California and is a Computer Science major.

Student Council

Alina was elected to the Engineering Student Council as a first year in class council as Vice President. In her junior year, she ran with the Executive Board party SEAS the Change Δ and was elected as the SEAS Student Body President for 2019-2020.

During Alina's term, there was undergraduate involvement in recognizing Indigenous People's Day, the University's Second Sustainability Plan, and expanded access for the Mudd engineering building. She also pursued and took part in the following:
