The Ambrose Monell Engineering Library was located on the fourth floor of Mudd. It was permanently closed at the end of the spring semester in 2014. [1] The collection included Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Chemical Engineering; Computer Science; metallurgy; mining; Operations Research; Applied Physics; Applied Mathematics; and nuclear engineering. The library was usually sparsely populated, but tended to draw crowds of engineers during midterm and final exam time. The library was not a quiet place to study, as most students in the library were working on problem sets together.
Note that this is distinct from the newer Science and Engineering Library in the Northwest Corner Building.
