Li Lu CC '96 MBA '96 Law '96 was an organizer of the Tiananmen Square protests in China in 1989. He was then a graduate student at Nanjing University, but fled from persecution after the crackdown on the protests. He has since become the first person to somehow earn three simultaneous degrees from Columbia - a BA (after transferring from GS to Columbia College, an MBA, and a JD. He is currently a member of the Trustees.
