Greta Gerwig B '06 is an actress. She starred in several mumblecore films right after graduation, including LOL and Hannah Takes the Stairs, before getting her break in Noah Baumbach films such as Greenberg and Frances Ha. You might know her more recently a the director of Barbie.
While at Barnard she was briefly active in Parliamentary Debate, but more known for involvement in theater. She was part of the improv comedy group Tea Party starred in the 111th Varsity Show. She studied English and philosophy.
In May of 2013, The Blue and White featured Gerwig in its interview feature, The Conversation[1].
She has, of course, now won an I. A. L. Diamond Award.
