The Brooklyn Bridge is a New York City landmark, the first structure to span the East River between Manhattan and Brooklyn. A popular activity is to walk or bike across the bridge.
The bridge has also been a site of misfortune: on May 7, 2006, SEAS student Richard Ng killed himself by jumping off of it.
