Lifetime learners are also known as "old people." You'll spot these precocious pupils auditing large lecture classes, e.g. taught by Eric Foner or Alan Brinkley. Some professors don't allow LLs in their classes because of their penchant for sharing lengthy personal anecdotes.
They're often confused with professors or GS students. They don't take the final.
