The Giving to Columbia website is internet arm of UDAR's development division. Launched along with the Columbia Campaign, the website is the University's first serious foray into online development (as opposed to just donation collection).
In the past, UDAR maintained "Support Columbia" pages which did no more than list various options for potential donors (cash, stocks, appreciated assets, and of course, bequests) and instructions for carrying out those donations. In later years, a "Donate Online" options was instituted through AIS.
By contrast, the new Giving website includes gift giving guides with suggestions sortable by school and 'strategic direction', along with development news, and testimonials linking past instances of gift giving to major developments.
