Kathleen A. Roskot was a student in the Columbia College Class of 2002 who was killed in Ruggles by Thomas Nelford on February 5, 2000, in an event now known as the Ruggles murder-suicide. A lacrosse player, she was described by the New York Times as a "quiet" yet "popular athlete".
