John Hollander CC '50 MA '52 is a poet and literary critic. Among his professors at Columbia were Lionel Trilling and Mark Van Doren; Allen Ginsberg was one of his classmates. A alumnus of the Philolexian Society, he won its Philolexian Award for Distinguished Literary Achievement in 2002.
