Toast is an American-style restaurant with two locations. The original Toast is located on Broadway, between Tiemann Place and LaSalle St, just north of Morningside Heights. A second location can be found on Broadway at 105th St, in the location formerly occupied by Carne. This second location closed in 2017, but the original restaurant on Broadway is still open. It is owned by the same people who own The Heights Bar and Grill.

The burgers at Toast are second to none. They're slowly cooked in a toaster oven and sandwiched between perfectly seasoned, toasted buns. Try the Alpine Burger, a swiss-cheese-topped masterpiece resting on a delicious portabello cap. They also have a great selection of draft beers including a Hefeweizen served in a glass just like you'd get in Germany.
