The Charles Paterno Barratt-Brown Memorial Prize is awarded to a Columbia College senior who is judged to have excelled in critical writing in any scholarly field. The award was established in 2000 by the parents and sister of Charles Paterno Barratt-Brown, who graduated from the College in 1983. Senior essays will automatically be considered for this prize.
