Steve Coll is the Dean of Columbia's J-School. Like his predecessor, Nicholas Lemann, he also writes for The New Yorker.

Dean Coll was announced as the new dean on March 8, 2013.[1][2] Some in the media were not happy with his hiring, complaining that Dean Coll was unqualified because, despite his two Pulitzer Prizes, he wasn't on Twitter.[3][4]
