Terry Martinez[1]

Terry Martinez was first Dean of Community Development and Multicultural Affairs, then interim Dean of Student Affairs for Columbia College and SEAS after Kevin Shollenberger stepped down on May 31, 2013[2].

A few months into her term as Dean of Student Affairs, Martinez announced that she would not be seeking the full time role, and would instead be leaving for Johns Hopkins, like her predecessor Shollenberger. Apparently, Columbia thought she did such a great job that her role was spun off into two positions: Executive Vice President of Student Affairs (now EVP University Life, held by Suzanne Goldberg) and Dean of Undergraduate Student Life (held by Cristen Kromm).
