Amigos was a so-so Mexican place at 2888 Broadway that appeared in January 2013 as the replacement for Il Cibreo.[1] Amigos was a Mexican pop-up restaurant by chef Alex Garcia, and was supposed to exist for only 4 months.[2] On December 23, 2017, Amigos closed.[3]
The food was generally alright.[4] The drink specials included an all-day happy hour with $5 margaritas (much less substantial than those found at The Heights) and large fishbowl group drinks preferred by underclassmen and sorority girls big on Instagram. The veggie quesadillas were solidly mediocre as well.
