Prabhjot Singh is a professor of international and public affairs at SIPA. While a great teacher, his claim to fame is "getting punched in the face."[1]
In September 2013, Singh, who is Sikh and wears a turban, was punched in the face on 110th street at 8:15 pm on a Saturday night. NYPD investigated it as a hate crime as the men who attacked him shouted anti-Muslim slurs.[2] Fairly coincidentally, a year earlier, Singh wrote an op-ed in the NYTimes about hate crimes.[3]
Through the aftermath, Professor Singh proved himself to be a classy and wise man, making great statements and overall be helpful and awesome.[4][5][6]
