Lawrence A. Wien, CC '25, Law '27, was a generous alumnus who made his fortune in real estate.
Among his many contributions were funds for the construction of Wien Stadium and renovation of Johnson Hall, for which the building was renamed in his honor. He served as a trustee of the university from 1966-1972.
In addition, the Wien Reference Room in Butler Library and the Lawrence A. Wien Prize for Social Responsibility are named after him.
