Bari Weiss CC '07 was founding editor in chief of The Current. She is very pro-Israel. In the wake of the allegations of the 2004 film Columbia Unbecoming that Jewish students were being intimidated by professors in the MEALAC department, she and several other students founded a group, Columbians for Academic Freedom, to serve as an advocate for such students.
