Columbia fields 29 NCAA Division I varsity sports programs that compete in the Ivy League. In Fall 2011, Men's and Women's Squash will be elevated from Club Sports status to full Varsity.[1] The school's mascot is a lion named Roar-ee and its colors are Columbia Blue and white. The Athletics Director is M. Dianne Murphy.
