Jerome Charyn CC '59 is a novelist and film professor living in Paris. His most recent novel, Johnny One-Eye, features a protagonist who was a student at Revolutionary King's College and vignettes of George Washington's stepson, John Parke Custis, who was once in attendance there. Alexander Hamilton is also a character.
In college, Charyn studied history and comparative literature. He dedicated his novel to legendary history professor James P. Shenton.
