John Hollander CC '50 MA '52 is a poet and literary critic. Among his professors at Columbia were Lionel Trilling and Mark Van Doren; Allen Ginsberg was one of his classmates. In 2002, he won the Philolexian Society's Philolexian Award for Distinguished Literary Achievement.
