Mini-fridges are a good way to keep food fresh (be the food mini or normal sized). Columbia has a size limit (2.5 cu ft) on the volume of the mini fridge, but this is rarely, if ever, enforced.
You can rent a fridge through the Blue Key Society/Cecil Distributors but those are old, dirty, and too cold (turning water bottles into ice). Buying a new fridge is only slightly more expensive than renting a fridge through Columbia for a year.
Always remember that mini-fridges never keep ice cream frozen, but occasionally do freeze the sides of water bottles that touch the ice maker.
