The Record (sometimes Columbia University Record or University Record) is, like Pravda, a mouth-piece for the central administration. It is printed by the Office of Communications and Public Affairs.
Originally a weekly, printing slowed a little in the late 90s, ultimately becoming bi-weekly in 2001-2002, before falling to a sporadic schedule of around a dozen issues between September and June. Based on the Volume number, the Record dates back to the 1975-1976 academic year. The Record's online Archives go back to 1993-1994. Older issues can be looked up in the Microform Reading Room in 501 Butler Library.
