Gawker is a traditionally New York-centric gossip blog. They post about Columbia with some frequency, often when there's a class-baity narrative that requires only light reporting. An example of that would be the 2013 Admissions Essay Leak.
Gawker was generally considered to be at its snarky height around 2006-7, when it served as the inspiration for Bwog. Since then, it's become a much more national in scope and more mainstream as a publication, though it's retained some attitude.
